Since 1997, WFME has been affiliated with the journal Medical Education. Since June 2001, a page of information about WFME has appeared in Medical Education with general information about WFME and relevant news and activities.
In 2004, an agreement was made with the Fundación Educación Médica, for affiliation of WFME with the journal Educación Médica with the facility for an information page about WFME, in Spanish, in the journal.
In October 2007, the first issue of the new official journal of the South East Asian Regional Association for Medical Education (SEARAME) was published.
